Here's how we build 'em from the ground up
but don't forget, with ALLIED you can change ANYTHING you like..
THE FOUNDATION:  A rock solid Foundation is the core of every ALLIED GARAGE.  We begin by excavating the ground to prepare it for an 18" wide x 8" thick concrete footer and then constructing the Foundation itself with 8" concrete block.  We strictly adhere to all local building codes. Without a solid and exact Foundation, the structure can never be correct.  Although we also offer a "pole foundation" at a slightly reduced price, we urge you to consider the tremendous advantages our enduring concrete block Foundations offer.

THE WALLS:  Walls can be of several types.  The most common are, of course, frame, but can also be concrete block or brick.  With frame Garages, all our walls are 2x4, 16" on center.  This means that if you should decide to insulate your Garage, it is ready to accept the standard  roll insulation with no additional modifications.  All ALLIED bottom plates are treated lumber to retard the damage of water, snow and ice.  ALLIED top plates are 2x4 and are always doubled.

THE ROOF:  ALLIED'S employs a solid and time tested 2x4 Truss system. Trusses are placed 24" on center.  ALLIED's roof sheeting is APA rated 7/16 x 4 x 8 Oriented Strand Board and we install 25 year guaranteed fiberglass roof shingles over #15 felt paper.  We also offer roof vents in either standard or "Vent-A-Ridge" style to provide more than adequate ventilation.

THE GARAGE DOOR(S)  First of all, with ALLIED CONSTRUCTION, you get a choice.  On 24' or wider Garages you can choose between 1 - 16x7 Overhead Garage Door or Two - 9x7 Overhead Garage Doors... NO EXTRA CHARGE!  We recommend our attractive raised panel, galvanized Steel Garage doors which have become the standard in durable and attractive Garage Doors and are guaranteed from the manufacturer for a full 15 Years.  

SIDINGS:  Choose between the economical T1-11 or Hardboard Lap Sidings to attractive, long lasting and maintenance free Vinyl Sidings (which normally carry a lifetime guarantee from the manufacturer) or even Block or Brick for added security.  If you know the manufacturer of the siding on your home it's possible we can match the siding on your new Garage.  The possibilities are endless.
